swap meet is a place to organize trades with fellow bloggers, to make your stash more useful, to discover treats around the world that you covet and are just taking up space in someone else's hoard. this site acts as a hub for swapping, a place to list who is involved and what's up for grabs. each month there will be a new theme for swapping, it could be based on specific craft such as knitting or be as random as swapping items of a certain colour. if you have a great idea for a swap theme, please send along an email. on the 15th of the month, the new theme for the following month will be posted here plus in an email to previous participants.
how to join in
if you want to swap it up, here's what to do:
1. check this website on the 15th of the month to discover what the next month's swapping theme is (this allows a bit of time to get yourself organized).
2. go through your stash and see what items you have that match the theme. you can swap as many items as you want, put a bunch together as a lot or each piece individually, it's up to you.
3. between the 1st to the 5th of the swapping month write a post on your own blog listing what you have available with photos of each lot or item. title this post (insert month here) swap meet.
4. send an email to monthlyswapmeet@gmail.com with a link to your actual post that contains what you've got up for trade.
note: you must blog about your items within the first five days of the month and get your email in by the 7th to be listed here for that month's swap. any emails received after the 7th will not be added (sorry!).
then what?
everyone with goods up for swapsies will be listed here on swap meet with a link to the post that contains their items (swappers will be added in descending order once a day from the first of the month until the eighth of the month so check back frequently during the first week!). you browse through what's available at your own leisure and contact the person directly to let them know if they have something you're interested in. they can then check your post and see what they'd like to swap for. to make this work, once you've set up a swap with someone, please make a note on your own blog that the item/lot you're swapping is no longer available. once you have nothing left to swap, please send an email to monthlyswapmeet@gmail.com so a note can be added beside your link that you're cleaned out. all swaps take place between individuals themselves, this site only acts a way to bring you all together and is not responsible for any unfulfilled swaps.
